Breakdown of the current Merit Circle DAO treasury including any outstanding investments

With the coming of a new month, we are glad to share the latest treasury report. In this report, we provide an exact overview of the DAO’s current financial status. We share a breakdown of the current Merit Circle DAO treasury including any outstanding investments, buybacks and other financial activities.

This treasury report is based on the status of the treasury on the 30th of April 2023.

Treasury status

In the past month the treasury decreased from $97,031,641 in March to $96,392,032 at the end of April, a 0.6% decrease from the previous month. The DAO realized a profit of $115,000 in the month April.

This new iteration presents itself in a brand new design, looking fresh and more in sync with the others online environments of the Merit Circle DAO. Additionally, we’ve added a comparison chart between the DAO’s performance and the CCI 30 Index.

Treasury overview

The Merit Circle DAO’s treasury balance as of the 30th of April 2023 is $96,392,032.

When calculating our treasury’s balance, we only include non-native assets. This means we do not count the balance of MC tokens towards the total balance of our treasury since it might paint a diluted picture of the reality.

Since MC tokens will not be utilized for investment purposes, they will not be included in our balance sheet. Those interested can view the current balance in the mainDAO’s wallet to be viewed in the wallet overview beneath. In that sense, we have not included negligible balances marked as working capital instead of additional treasury funds.

To conclude

In light of providing more information regarding the management of our treasury, we’ve written an article about everything that occurred the past couple of months.

Ensuring the growth and health of our treasury is a fundamental day-to-day endeavor for the Merit Circle DAO. With all the unforeseen events taking place in the industry these past few months such as the collapse of industry giants and the depeg of USDC, we would like to shed some light on what this meant for our treasury, and how we intend to improve.
